Dr Nikki Baatjes is a highly respected Neurodevelopmental Paediatric Consultant (medical doctor) specialising in the assessment and treatment of autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges. She combines a holistic approach with her expertise in child psychology to deliver personalised care for children and adolescents navigating neurodevelopmental difficulties.
Dr Baatjes privately practices at here at The Giaroli Centre and serves as a Consultant at Evelina London Children’s Healthcare, Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Baatjes provides neurodevelopmental assessments and interventions for young people with conditions such as autism and/or ADHD up to the age of 18. Her approach integrates a thorough understanding of her patients’ medical, psychosocial needs, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care. Dr Baatjes aims to understand the underlying functional impairments of the child and young person with a neurodevelopmental approach. Her work at Evelina London Children’s Healthcare is complemented by her active involvement in research and her role as Executive Board Member for the esteemed medical journal, CCH: Care, Health & Development. Dr Baatjes has been granted funding by the Evelina London Children’s Charity to undertake research in girls presenting with autism.
Dr Baatjes completed her medical degree at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and pursued advanced training in Paediatrics in London, earning her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the Royal College of Paediatrics. She has practiced in London since 2001 and further enhanced her expertise by completing an MSc in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College London.
