Our Values
Innovation & Research
We believe that innovation and research must be brought to clinical practice in order to offer patients an up-to-date evidence-based service. Therefore, our doctors are actively involved in research on medication for psychiatric conditions and the genetic aspects of several psychiatric syndromes.
Our doctors contribute to the latest research at many leading universities such as the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at Kings College London and University College London (UCL), with many of our doctors leading training programmes for other doctors and medical students.
Our centre allows suitable patients the opportunity to be involved (if they wish to be) in clinical research trials with Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at Kings College London to ensure that we contribute to the latest research into neurodevelopmental conditions.
Empathy
During our doctors’ experiences within the NHS they have unfortunately observed many patients with ADHD, Autism, tics and Tourette’s syndrome drop out of the system at age 18, despite the continuation of their symptoms into adulthood. This is often due to the lack of a strong transition plan across adolescent and adult services.
However we work with patients throughout their lifespan (from childhood to adulthood) and offer continuity and expertise in the area of neurodevelopmental conditions. Therefore, we’re able to help children, adolescents and adults, suffering from psychological or psychiatric conditions, improve their quality of life.
